Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received in the office of the South San Joaquin Irrigation District for furnishing all labor, services, materials, tools, equipment supplies transportation, utilities and all other items and facilities necessary for the acceptable completion of all work necessary for the following:

"Lateral "Rfc" Pipeline Replacement Project, Specification No. SSJ-2008-08 for South San Joaquin Irrigation District."

    to remove approximately 2,250 linear feet of 36" cast in place pipeline and appurtenant structures.  Install 2,093 linear feet of 42" Class III ASTM C-76-99 Rubber Gasketed Reinforced Concrete Pipe (R.G.R.C.P.) 60 linear feet of 42" Class IV ASTM C-76-99 R.G.R.C.P. 97 linear feet of 36" Class III ASTM C-76-99 R.G.R.C.P. and concrete control structures.

  A Mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for November 12, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. at the offices of South San Joaquin Irrigation District.  Bidders are to advise and notify the District's Project Representative at 209-249-4619 to confirm attendance.

Bids will be publicly opened and tabulated by or on behalf of the District at the office of the South San Joaquin Irrigation District immediately after 10:30 a.m. on November 18, 2008.  Mailed or hand delivered bids must be received by the Owner prior to the hour and date of the opening and shall be labeled "Lateral "Rfc" Pipeline Replacement Project, Specification No. SSJ-2008-08 for South San Joaquin Irrigation District."

to remove approximately 6,633 linear feet of 42" cast in place pipeline and appurtenant structure.  Install approximately 6,495 linear feet of 42" Class III ASTM C-76-99 R.G.R.C.P., 138 linear feet of 42" Class IV ASTM C-76-99 R.G.R.C.P. and concrete control structures.

to remove approximately 1,630 linear feet of 36" cast in place pipeline and appurtenant structure.  Back fill approximately 903 linear feet of existing open ditch.  Install 2,887 linear feet of 42" Class III ASTM C-76-99 R.G.R.C.P., 145 linear feet of Class IV ASTM C-76-99 R.G.R.C.P., 35 linear feet of 36" Class III ASTM C-76-99 R.G.R.C.P. and concrete control structures.

to remove 154 linear feet of 36" cast in place pipeline and 200 linear feet of 42" cast in place pipeline.  Install  154 linear feet of 36" Class IV ASTM C-76-99 R.G.R.C.P. and 236 linear feet of 42" Class IV ASTM C-76-99 R.G.R.C.P. Construct concrete irrigation box at canal termination point.
